Does this exception occur when debugging an application after programming the flash? If so, it may be caused by a bug in the debugger that sets the stack pointer to the value in the last image that was programmed to flash. To test this just debug the image again, or reset the chip after programming the flash. If in either case the exception no longer occurs then this bug may be the cause of your problem.
