Hi All, We are working on rza1h Based custom board , There is no SDRAM ,so trying to boot from internal 10MB SRAM, followed the RZ-A1 Linux-4.9 BSP Porting Guide V.1.00.pdf. U-boot is working fine I am using the below command to flash the board, ./build.sh jlink output/u-boot-2017.05/u-boot.bin 0x18000000 ./build.sh jlink output/linux-4.14/arch/arm/boot/dts/r7s72100-smpos.dtb 0x180C0000 ./build.sh jlink output/linux-4.14/arch/arm/boot/xipImage 0x18200000 ./build.sh jlink output/buildroot-2017.02/output/images/rootfs.axfs 0x18800000 But when I run xa_boot getting the bellow error. Pleasse guide us how to fix this issue. Forum Post: Broken Link for SSP User Manual in SSP 1.4.0 release with e2 studio v6.2 Summary Tab

The link to the SSP User Manul from the summary tab in the SSP 1.4.0 release is broken- it points to the wrong location. Workaround : Create a folder called ssp-user-manual-html-v1.01-sspv1.4.0 under the SSP_Documentation folder at your installation location. Move the following from the folder “SSP_Documentation” to the new folder “ssp-user-manual-html-v1.01-sspv1.4.0“: File called “ssp-user-manual-html-v1.01-sspv1.4.0.html” and The folder “html” The link should now work.

To fix this error: "WARNING: could not set bootargs FDT_ERR_NOSPACE." edit your file output/linux-4.14/arch/arm/boot/dts/r7s72100-smpos.dts and add extra spaces at the end for "bootargs" bootargs = "ignore_loglevel earlyprintk earlycon=scif,0xE8008000 rootfstype=axfs root=/dev/null rootflags=physaddr=0x18800000 ";

Hi, >>warning: _write is not implemented and will always fail It looks like you are using I/O functions. Please keep in mind this is a bare metal target and those functions are left intentionally un-implemented. Users usually overwrite those functions or the higher level ones (like printf) to suit their needs (UART, LCD). You can resolve those errors by using -msim option when linking but this will not solve your problem as it will work ONLY on the GDB simulator as you can see in hello world example which you can find the toolchain: /getting_started.html.

Thanks. I'll be connecting just the sensor board to the SK board. However, I'm a bit puzzled right now by the peripheral/port configuration. Say I want to use SCI1 as the I2C connection for the sensor: Which pins on the hradware board would 213/212 correspond to? They aren't shown on the board. Are the labels read a certain way to determine that?

Hi Jim, RX devices are not supported on Synergy Enterprise Cloud Toolbox (SECT). SECT only supports Synergy devices. If you like to connect RX device to AWS, then RX65N kit is only choice available. Neelima

Hi Zfeng, P2_13 and P2_12 are dedicated to the XTAL1 and XTAL2 on this board and are not available for I/O re-assignment. Please use the schematic for the SK_S7G2 board to determine what is available on the board. About 80% of the I/O pins are available, the rest are in use and can't be re-assigned. -Gary

Please have a look at the compiler manual (chapter 4.1.5, paragraph (4)). The maximum size of enum is signed short, so the maximum value is 0x7FFF. You can use #defines to replace the mask values by character strings.

Hello Tim, the result which you are looking for can be achieved by declaring in GUIX Studio a common event function for all the widgets which are supposed to cause the buzzer reaction. In the function definition body you can handle, for example, the GX_EVENT_PEN_UP event and invoke the buzzer reaction. Best regards, anper

Forum Post: Reading of Option Bytes on RH850/F1H

Hi, We are using the RH850/F1H which has 2 PE cores and 1 ICUM core. We want to read the OptionByte no 8 from the PE core and based on it, take a particular action. The Option Byte 8 (and above) are configuration registers for the ICUM and infact, the option byte 8 identifies if the ICUM is activated. How does one read the Option Byte 8 and above from the PE core? Is it possible at all ? I had a brief look at the code flash library user's manual. But it seems like one can read option bytes 0 - 7 only. regards, Vidyesh

Hi Anper, How would I declare a common event function for all of the different widgets? When I use GUIX studio it seems to create event handlers that are tied to the widget type (e.g. multi line text button) instead of the more generic GX_WIDGET.

Hi all, I designed a custom board with r5f5631bddfp mcu. I am using 12mhz external crystal. I have a run led to understand mcu is runnig or not. When I set SCKCR3 reg to main clock, run led is blinking slowly. When I set SCKCR3 reg to HOCO, naturally run led faster than main clock(12mhz). But I want to use pll clock source for maximum system clock frequency (96mhz). When I set the SCKCR3 reg to pll circuit, E1 emulator doesnt answering me and after a few seconds, connection is lost. I do not understan why this case happen. I search about that but couldnt find any clue. The ConfigureOperatingFrequency function's link is blow; https://paste.debian.net/1022934/ Thanks in advance...

Thanks Frank, I'd use your macro-based suggestion regarding entirely locally developed code. Although, this project depends upon 3rd-party developed source code which uses such sort of enumeration structures; it would hit several maintainability issues surrounding it. I understand that C99 language standard (ISO 9899), as you stated, specifies enum as this "The rank of any enumerated type shall equal the rank of the compatible integer type.", also, I do understand we're talking 16-bit here. Case in point, the same code snippet works well in GNURL78, which apparently does promote to long for enumerations, even on a purely C project. Would be any known flag to achieve such result on CC-RL? Thank you, FelipeT

Hi, This can occur when importing a project which uses a version of the SSP which is not installed in the toolchain. Try installing the 1.3.3 version and re-open the project. To update to 1.4.0 switch to the BSP tab in the configurator and change the SSP version. Ian.

Hi, What is the recommended programming adapter for S124/128 beside J-Link. I have a Renesas R0E00008AKCE00. I don't know if it work with Synergy. Thanks.

You'll need the Flash, or FACI, manual for the device. This can be provided by an FAE at your local Renesas sales office.

Hi Cooper, The J-Link or I-jet can be used with synergy. The I-Jet is supported only with IAR EWARM for Syenrgy tool chain. You can also use the factory boot mode and the Renesas Flash Programmer (RFP) program using uart or USB. The R0E00008AKCE00 does not work with Synergy. There is a low cost J-Link Lite available for Synergy devices: www.renesas.com/.../j-link-lite.html -Gary
