If you weren’t in Nuremberg, Germany last week, you missed a big Renesas Synergy Platform coming out party. Walking into the exhibit hall from any of the three entrances, you couldn’t miss the Renesas Synergy banners (those marketers sure know how to spend money, LOL). Renesas showcased Synergy Platform demonstrations at its booth on security, solutions and MCUs. More than 120 attendees took up Renesas’ invitation to see a 20-minute Synergy Platform presentation and 20-minute SSP/tools demonstration at a separate booth. For their investment, they received a SK-S7G2 starter kit. Renesas held a press conference that drew a standing room crowd, including more than 35 members of the press. The hour-long presentation included a review of each of the company’s Synergy Platform-related announcements: New Renesas Synergy S124 Group of Microcontrollers and Updated Synergy Software Package Now Available Renesas Synergy™ Platform Adds Device Lifecycle Management Solution for OEMs to Deliver Hardware and Software Security from Manufacturing through Deployment and Beyond Renesas Synergy™ Platform with World-Leading Tools from IAR Systems Accelerates Development of Innovative IoT and Embedded Products The European distributors (Arrow, Avnet, Glyn and Rutroniks) each had a Synergy Platform demonstration station: Glyn gave standing room only Synergy Presentations to audiences surpassing 75 attendees Arrow showed off its internal development board, which includes NFC, WiFi, LCD and sensors Avnet focused its software using PMODs for various wireless suppliers using the Synergy DS-S7G2 Several third parties also had Synergy Platform-related demonstrations, including IAR, CypherBridge and IS2T/MicroEJ.
